Smart Careers abide by all European laws in relation to your data and we have strict processes in place to make sure that we are compliant. By using our services and/or ours website, you permit the collection and use of your personal information as outlined below and you signify your agreement to this Privacy Statement.

This Notice (“Notice”) has been developed to ensure our users feel confident about the privacy and security of personal data and to meet our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 to 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (the “Data Protection Law”). How we collect data:

We collect your data when you register with us over the internet or apply to us for one of our advertised positions.

To service you as a candidate we collect your personal details from your C.V. which include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail, education and employment history. This information is required to provide you, the candidate with a job placement. The only source used to obtain this information is your C.V. which you voluntary provide. Smart Careers collect and use your personal information to deliver the job-seeking service you have requested. Your information will only be used in a profile format with prospective employers and only with your permission will your C.V. be released to employers.

Our security of your personal data:

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access, we have put in place physical and managerial procedures to safeguard your data.

While Smart Careers take due care in protecting the privacy of your data that you provide, we recognise that no data transmission over the internet can be 100% secure. There is always the possibility that information you send us could be observed by a third party while in transit over the internet. As a result, we cannot take liability should this occur.

Data Retention:

We only hold your data for as long as necessary to serve you, the candidate. At any time should you wish to have your information delated, please contact info@smartcareers.ie.
